Lego Monster Fighter Pictures

Update: Apparently Lego has been busy, I had to update the video embed because the original one was removed. Sorry about that - hopefully we'll have some official pics soon!

Check them out on this embedded video. The 'first on the whole internet' claim is dubious, but we'll let it slide because we want to share the pictures without having to deal with a cease and desist order.

LEGO MONSTER FIGHTERS!!!

You can bet your ass I'm going to be posting all about this ASAP - leaked pictures of Lego Monster Fighters have been making their rounds on the interwebs!!! That's right kids, MORE LEGO MONSTERS!!!

So far I see a new Werewolf sculpt and a brand spankin' new Lego Creature From the Black Lagoon!! It also looks like they're using the usual Lego Ghost, the new Lego Frankenstein and new Mad Scientist (from Minifig Series 4), and the Lego Mummy (from Minifig Series 3). There's also the Lego Vampire (from Minifig Series 2), a new Female Vampire in the same set, and what appears to be flying Lego Werewolves (WTF!?!).

Summer 2012 is just around the corner, expect more details soon!

Lego Gollum Revealed (kinda)

Well, it didn't take long for Friday's News of Lego Lord of the Rings to generate severe buzz around the interwebs, and with any highly anticpated release there are usually spy pics. Having seen the preliminary pics I looked as best I could for hints of new creatures and creepys that could populate my Lego Monster collection. One thing that made me very happy was a fuzzy picture of Lego Gollum. Now, I was worried about this guy when I heard the news. I figured he'd end up a minifigure with a printed head, or at best a special head like Lego Dobby.
Lego Dobby from Harry Potter

Well, judging by this fuzzy little picture it looks like we're getting a special BODY sculpt for Gollum, which little Smeagol rightly deserves. I can't wait to get a better look at this little guy!

Lego Gollum from the Shelob Attacks Set

I was also pretty jazzed about the appearance of the Cave Troll, but we'll have to wait for a better picture of him. Shelob looked good, too, but she reminds me a LOT of the Aragog spider from the Harry Potter sets.
